What is the name of your state?Location: New York, Westchester County.

I am a shareholder in a Coop. Frequently the On-Site maintenance office will tell me and other shareholders either that no one has made a similar complaint or give different answers to different shareholders to the same question. It has also been discovered that there are at least 4 different sets of house rules being distributed to new shareholders. Please note that the differing house rules are not added upon but have very different rules depending on the new shareholders situation. Ex. One shareholder was forced to sell an SUV because their house rules read no SUVs but many newer and older shareholders have SUVs and no such rule in their set of house rules.

With the above mentioned and other outstanding issues, is it possible and legal for the shareholders to form an association, group or membership that can unite to meet with or deal with the board to discuss issues. Hopefully this would force the board to be consistent with its rules and answers to concerns. Many shareholders have concerns, questions and opinions and are either scared or too lazy to confront the board. An association would make it easier by having a representative do their work for them.

If this is possible please let me know how to proceed.

P.S. There is no mention of groups, associations or shareholder memberships in the Proprietary Lease.

**A: start putting things in writing to the office and look into forming an association of shareholders.
