What is the name of your state?Alaska

I am having difficulty with the whole w/c thing, If these people are here to help then why do they make it impossible to continue on with your life? As to my other posting I am at a cross roads, My wife is 7 months pregnant, I have no income coming in, unemployment benefits will not help because im still "unavailable for work", W/C wont help, I cant get a job because no one will hire me with my medical problems sustained at my last job.(That I was terminated from due to the injury) I have to completely put my life on hold because of this garbage. I dont like to whine or gripe but this is going to far. I injured t1, t2, c7, c6, and c5 and the only thing ive gotten is basically a lifetime supply of vicodin. Should I just drop everything, get a job and not tell them about the injury and pray I dont further the damage or what? Im not crying about it but most everyone on here seems really knowledgable and I just need some advice, any advice.

You didn't mention if you had a lawyer or if you were going for a settlement?
W/C is not here to help anyone, they are here to make your life miserable as they usually do. I have lost everything and still have nothing after 1 1/2 years. W/c will fight you all the way and then some. Get a lawyer if you don't already have one and don't go to work unless your doctors say that you can at 100%. I live in NY and w/c is a nightmare due to all the false claims from people trying to swindle the insurance companies.

I must agree that the WC system is horrible for the patient/victim. I live in California. My case is over 2 years old. I have an amzaing attorney, and still am waiting for this nightmare to settle. Just had the MSC and they offered a low figure..........we countered and are now in the waiting stage. Trial date set for a few months down the road. Can you possibly get disability or Social Security? Do you have funds in a 401K you can withdraw? I'm so sorry you are going through this.............

Do you have a w/c attorney?Sounds like you may need one if you do not already have one. Most will hear your case for free and if they take the case only get a percentage when the case is settled. Also the labor board in your area is a great resource for information concerning w/c issues and your state laws.Sounds like if you have no income you have reached MMI or is your w/c insurance is not paying you while you are out of work? Also you may be able to get something from social security until you are able to work, thats if you have reached MMI and they have cut your payments off.Call and see if you can qualify for SSI or something.Call these places hopefully someone will be able to help you,the labor board in my state helped me alot!Good luck

Thanks for your replies, I am working on getting an attorney now, the one I spoke with told me to wait also, when i was injured in December I had to take most of my 401K out due to bills stacking up and had to be able to survive. In Febuary funds just disappeared and I had to start selling all my personal belongings so we could survive. But we will keep fighting and hopefully something happens. I will look into SSI, I never thought about that. But thank you for all your help. :D
