sibling visitation

I thought that I once read that visitation can be filed for a half sibling. my husbands current military duty is going to be longer than originally expected and the bio mom will not let the child visit. mother was granted temporary custody in my husband absence; prior to that, he had sole legal/physical. will it be possible to at least get one weekend a month? my son is taking the loss of his father and brother very hard.

I have no words of wisdom for you because I just dont know but I wanted to tell you that Im sorry you are going through this. Its hard enough to deal with your spouse deploying but losing a child because of the deployment would be harder.

This is a great fear of mine. I know we arent the parent's but I know what its like to love a child as my own. I couldnt imagine living in the same home as a child and not feeling love for them.

Anyway good luck and I hope for the childrens sake some kind of aggrement can be reached to allow them to spend time together.
