What is the name of your state? California

We are looking to import a Popcorn Maker, that is similar as another companies.
The other companies have no patents on these products and I belive that they simply buy from a factory in China that designed the machines.

Can they sue us for trade dress? Or anything else?

There isn't enough information here to say one way of the other. If you are concerned about IP infringement, then you really need to take all of your facts down to a local attorney who can review ALL of the relevant facts, and advise you accordingly.
