Slapping Lawsuit?

Okay, my daughters father and I are breaking up after being together for 9 years. He threatened me with a law suit!? He baffled me here. He said he was going to sue me for his money. He has been the primary bread winner for at least one year. His money pays the bills and to support his daughter. I only work pt due to medical issues. Is he nuts? Or am I just not up with the laws anymore?
