What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan

Hello,
I live in MI. My wife and I took a loan for a vehicle from her aunt, and paid the agreed upon $175/month for almost 9 months. Then, her and I both got laid off 10 months ago. Being my wife's aunt, she allowed us to not pay for a period of time. Now however, we are both back to work, and are in the process of paying off debts and trying to keep the lights on and food on the table. We have resumed making the originally agreed $175. My wife's aunt is asking for $380/month now though, and we are unable to pay that. She has filed a small claims case against us, and is requesting 380/month.

Our question is, what are her chances of getting the judge to order a payment over double what it was? And what, if anything should we do different?

My thoughts are to continue with the 175 and pray the judge is reasonable. However, it seems like a silly legal plan, thus my questions here.
