Perhaps you should think twice about spending hundreds on a dog when money is tight. :rolleyes:

Nobody has said that it was caused the dog being a different breed. All that you were told is that it's rare for it to occur in mini schnauzers (poodles, as I mentioned above, are already part of the breed).

I don't know who told you that poodles are already part of the mini schnauzer breed, because they're not. Please put a reference.

I provided a link to information from the AKC on the miniature schnauzer.

The breed is said to have come from the mix of a standard schnauzer and poodles or affenpinschers.

It was recognized as a distinct breed as early as 1899.
