What is the name of your state? California

My ex is signing up for SS benefits and part of that is some child support for my daughter. Currently he gives $750.00 for support; my daughter will get that for one year from the government via SS benefits. I have two concerns, if any one can help
#1> if my ex stops the support for the year does that set a president so he doesn’t have to start paying when the benefits stop. Our current support agreement is he will pay until she is 20 year old if she is going to college. The SS benefits stop at 18 years old so should I just not sign up for the SS benefits or have him sign a paper stated that he will start full payment when the SS benefits stop?
#2 Does social security have anything to do with the court order agreement?
