What is the name of your state?
OH
Is there an SOL in a civil suit allowing only a certain timeframe from the date of filing to when it is actually put to trial?

No, it will be scheduled when the judge can get to it. Especially since, especially in some Ohio counties, due to case loads, criminal cases come first (with their speedy trial provisions).

At some point, I suppose you could argue that the judge is denying you due process of law (e.g. if a case sat for 5 years), and obtain a writ of procedendo, but that is the unusual case.

Does this have something to do with any of the 63 other threads you have started?

We should be able to get a problem poster listing of people like this so we don't help them. I just usually answer, off the cuff, just because it is there.

Yep.
But, it's certainly not necessary for someone to weed through any other posts to answer this.
I find it rather polite at times when there is a general question to not put others through the time of reading through 13 pages, and half the time it's 13 pages of poster opinions, that really have no relation or use to answer a general question.
Should you find it a bother that instead of starting one, and only one thread, for the seperate issues of support, custody, and the civil suit for the equitable distribution, then don't answer.
Plus, let's not forget how many threads get locked for no paticular reason.
I have appreciated all advice in the past and will continue to post.
