What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? OH
I sold a mobile home 1 1/2 year ago. The buyer never transferred the title in his name. It's still located in the mobile home park. He is paying the lot rent. I contacted him twice & he has said that he will get it put in his name. He said he was hoping to sell it 1st. No one is living in it. I sold it cheap & he's hoping to profit on it.

The county tax department said that I am responsible b/c the title is in my name. I have no idea what to do! Please help me.

Did you take your copy of the bill of sale and your copy of the signed over deed, to the county tax office?

I just signed the back of the title. It's just like selling a vehicle. It's located in a mobile home park. I sent him the bill, but he hasn't put it in his name or paid the tax bill. The city or county charges a property tax which treats mobile homes like real property.
