TN..my soon to be ex is trying to bring in a realestate person into the house to get an apprasial. She abandoned the house 18 months ago and has not paid anything on the mortage. Can she just call up and say she is coming in the morning. I dont want her in the house.last time she tried to gut the house. I will let her in, but i want time to clean up and be there..

If your ex is on title, then she has claims to the property. Why is she having an appraisal completed? Are you selling the home?

Nope you dont get a refund for the time your lawyer put in on the case.
Your wife still owns part of the house. It is the marital home and she is legally allowed in. She can break the door down or the break the window in to get in and it is not against the law. Your lawyer is probably upset because by denying your wife access to the house (unless you have a court order stipulating otherwise) you are breaking the law.
