What is the name of your state? Michigan

Our Dad has dementia and Parkinson's. If he were to marry, would the marriage be legal as he is not of sound mind? Could it be annulled on this fact?

no he has not been deemed incompetent legally. Doctor has advised and noted in his files that he should be, however.

Well...if dad is about to get married then it would probably be a good idea for you to go to court and attempt to obtain guardianship of dad.....particularly if his doctors deems him incompetent.
