I was stopped for speeding in Wisconsin, outside of Milwaukee. The cop said I was doing 78 in a 55 and has it on radar. The problem is I was on a 3 lane Highway with so much traffic it took him a long time to actually get onto the highway. How can I (or he) be sure it was me he actually had on radar? The fine wasn't much but I don't want it on my Insurance. What is my best response?

I wrote the D.A. and pleaded my case of heavy traffic, the length of time it took for the officer to stop me, etc... I even drew a diagram of where he was in relation to me. The clerk of courts just sent back a pre-trial date. What should I do now?

In the past when I have had questions I have always referred to friends that are ex-cops. However, one of them referred me to this great website, mycounsel.com. It has a comprehensive advice page for how to fight your ticket in court- your case seems logical and from what they say, I think easy to get dismissed. Follow this link to the advice page on traffic tickets...
