I got speeding ticket during the night when I try to overtake a freight car. I reach 77 mph in the 65 mph road. I only driving that speed for pass that car. Since I feel scary when driving parallel to the huge vehicle. I also feel unsafe when following the freight car on a high way. On the rest of time during that night, I drive at speeding limit for 5 hours that night and exceed the speeding limit few time when need to overtake other car. Under this case, should I fight in the court? is there any chance I will win?
If any one can help me on this problem! Readily want to save the money since as a student with little income.

What on earth is a freight car?

Anyhow, there's no exception in the Virginia law to speed because you want to get around something. You can go to the General District Court, but you won't win. If you have a clean record, the judge may reduce/waive the fine (but not the costs). In some cases they may allow you to take driver improvement class rather than get the ticket on your record.
