Once Atty reviews pleadings/filings and sees/compares with the police report it will be ok. They can be amended before filed with court. Talk to you soon.

I live in Ca also, it is to my understanding that it does not matter if the victim drops the charges the DA can still file charges against your friend, especially if he has a past of related convictions, if not then they will most likely drop the charge.
