My wife and I will have our first and final hearing for a dissolution on May 31, 2002. All along we have been in agreement to seek a dissolution with her giving up a request for spousal support and my pension. I in turn gave up my claim to the residence which I made major improvements to during our 8 years of marriage.
Her attorney advised her when she first filed that the agreement was more favorable to me, but she agreed to proceed any with the agreement . Now I find that the attorney has filed a "Petition for support under the uniform reciprocal Enforcement of Support Act".
What does this mean for our Dissolution which was agreed to with a Separation Agreement stating the above facts?
Should I seek the assistance of an attorney before going in the hearing?
Is there any place where I can find this Enforcement of Support Act?
