What is the name of your state? TN
My first look at the divorce papers was 20.mi before my case was called. My Attorney had me sign the paperwork and was out the door to the courthouse. In trusting my attorney to understand the law I was ordered to pay the ex a total of 25% of my Army retirement pay (not to include my disability) and 45% of my Federal retirement my pay when I retire.

After all was done, I found an error was made in my Federal retirement pay by $240.00 over what I would be drawing if I were to retire that day. And the ex would be getting over $100.00 more on her support. I pointed this out to my attorney. His reply was, you sign it! It’s now law.

Since the divorce, my VA disability has increase by 30% more and was awarded in Jan 2002. I received the notice of increase Jun 28 2002 and this would cut the ex support payment

I have two (3) question and they are

(1.) Can I go back to court and have the error corrected that was made by my ex attorney office
(2.) Do I need to have the (a) court rule on my increase of disability (b) find a new attorney and send the ex a letter or (c) send the ex a copy of the disability and cut her payments to the correct amount.
(3). How can I get the money back from her that was paid between Jan - todate:confused:

Oh come on FORGGET ABOUT IT........It will cost you more in legal fees then its worth!!

You got plenty of money...and YOU DID CHOOSE a wife that didnt work...so she is entitled to half anyway ......I dont care what the law is , YOU pay for a woman then you pay when you get divorced.

Next time Buddy, find a woman who earns as much as you do.

Yoyoma,
Sorry that you have that feeling, The EX DID work and made big$$. As the husband, it was my job to support the family. We were to live within the limits of that income and plan for the further. I gave her all that she wanted. I Work two jobs (when the Army allowed). I only ask from her and prayed to get 3 things. Honesty, Compassion and understanding. I Never want bar hopping or with other woman. All I wanted was her. I was not a saint (No one is). However she was giving herself and all to others. That I did not ask for. I do not believe you would understand. Your a Woman. I pray you would not do to your mate what my EX has done to me.

Huh?

Ok, I've read it twice and I still don't get it. To whom and to what is Lisa Moore responding? Just a side note to Lisa here...please do the rest of the Christians in the world a favor. Be quiet. Don't speak and don't respond. Inane and superfluous references to "Christ" and "God" are the kind of witless comments that prompted the quote "Religion is the opiate of the masses".
