I am currently going thru a divorce in Tennessee. My wife has assests worth over $2,000,000.00 and I am a disabled veteran livinf on V A Benefits and Social Security. I feel they did a poor job of research of her assests as they have her as broke and have ordered me to pay her $1,800 a month Spousal Support. The new order states if I die the debt will be transferred to my Heirs. I have never heard of paying from the grave. Tennessee LAw says Spousal Support is to be paid to help the Spouse maintain the lifestyle they became accustomed to. It is obvious I had a better life style but can not longer hire attornies to fight this. The order also states i can not file Bankruptcy to discharge the debt. Am i on the wrong Planet or what ?
