More info

I was not aware she had these cards. She hid them & had a PO box for the statements.

My response:

Obviously, one of the main components of your marriage is in the toilet - - "Trust".

So, you tell me . . . what is it that you would like to do ?

Your choices are :

1. Pay the debt and forget about it.

2. Stay married and hope for the best.

3. File for Legal Separation.

4. File for Dissolution of Marriage.

Once you tell me, we'll take it from there.

I payed off the debt already & am planning to stay married. She obviously has a problem. I just want to know if I can stay away from the liability in the future. If she wrote bad checks on her account I wouldn't be liable, Right?
It is an addiction she can't control. I have put all of our $$$ in new accounts under my name not hers. Can I get her put on a list for bad credit so the card companies don't issue her anymore? I have 1 credit card that i pay off each month. She doesn't gamble, drink or spend it on drugs. She got herself in trouble by taking cash advances on the card to make up other card balances & to balance our personal accounts before the statements arrived over an extended period. Finally she maxed the one card out. I just need some relief.
Thanks.
