I'm a U.S. Citizen. My husband is a French National. We have been married for almost three years and have a 2 year old daughter. During the course of our marriage, we have "lived" in Seoul, Paris and Los Angeles. We are finally ready to file for a Green Card for my husband, so that we may live in the U.S. together.

My question is this:

On a recent visit to Los Angeles, my husband's passport was stamped with the date of entry and within the date box, the customs officer stamped "PAROLED". My husband has since gone back to France. What does it mean to have one's passport stamped "PAROLED" and will it have any effect on his greencard application? Will he allowed re-entry?

I'm not an expert but I know it relates to the fact that the Visa Waiver Program expired and has not been extended by Congress yet. It will not have a negative effect.

I have belgian nationality and my husband is US citizen... after filing for the greencard I also got a I-512 form ( what ofcourse costed me an extra 100$ )multiple entries. got stamped paroled in my pasport by reentry ... although it was a hazzle when I entered in New York and spend almost two hours in that office... there is no problem for your husband to enter again.
