State certifications??

What is the name of your state? Texas
I am filing for a chpt 7 BK. The lawyer I am thinking about hireing does not state that they are certified by the texas board of legal specialization. One of the other assocoates has it that they are Board certified in consumer Bankruptcy law.
What does all this mean? Is it significant it my choice of who to hire for my BK?

It might. Its kind of like a doctor being board certified for one specialty or another. A BK specialist may have extra training or is just someone who does a LOT of bankruptcies. I would certainly consider a BK atty's track record above many other things. I'd be looking for the guy who knows the system inside-out, probably knows all the Trustees and their 'style', and does BK as his main thing.. not just an aside in a generic law practice.
