I am looking to find out what the statute of limitations is for a DUI charge in washington state. My father was charged with DUI and refusing to show a drivers licenses over 10 years ago and is not a resident of washington he is a canadian citizen and would like to know if he can come to the US and if the charges are still there. Thanks

I received a DUI in WA state in 1987 (14 years ago!) I never went to my arrainment as I moved to California 2 weeks after receiving it. I am now trying to get a drivers license in CA but apparently this DUI is still pending and I've been told by WA that I will have to go court there to take care of it. If there is a statute of limitations of 7 years, why isn't it applying here, and does anyone know of what I can do to take care of this without going to WA??
