What is the name of your state? Texas

Okay here it goes my brother is being yelled at by his gfs parents for having sex with her. he was 17 while she was 15, She is now 18 and she wants to move in with him but her parents say that they will press charges for the Statutory rape if she see's him. Can they do that. I also have a post about a 17 year old runaway law for my gf, any help would be appreciated.

I am not a lawyer, but considering the age of consent in Texas is 17 years old, her parents have the right to press charges against your brother for statutory rape. I am providing you two links which discuss this issue:

http://www.utexas.edu/student/lss/asklaw/statutoryrape.html
http://www.ageofconsent.com/texas.htm

Once again, I cannot ensure the integrity of this information, and thus you should consider it only an opinion, not a legal advice.

If only teenagers were smart enough to get informed before having sex.

The mother will find out very quickly she is blowing smoke. She can't do a thing.

Texas Age of Sexual Consent: 17
Sexual assault for anyone to intentionally or knowingly penetrate a person under age 17, other than his spouse. The actor has an affirmative defense if he is not more than three years older than the victim, who is at least age 14

They said also about pressing child Molestation or Indecency with a child, do any of those apply?

Son with older woman

undefinedI have a different situation. My 16 year old son is dating a 21 year old woman with 2 children. They are having sex. Is there any statutory rape law that covers this kid of relationship? Please help me to know what me options are.
