hi, i live in northern california and am actually writing for a friend....no for real! (he doesn't have a computer)
anyway, he recently broke up with his girlfriend of four years and they have a two year old daughter together. My question is that he is three years older than her. She was sixteen when she got pregnant and he was nineteen. She is now eighteen, but is using the baby against him in their break-up. he is scared to force her to let him see his daughter, due to the statutory rape laws. he thinks she will call the cops and turn him in if he doesn't do everything her way. he really wants to be a good father, but isn't getting the chance. is there a statute of limitation on statutory rape? is he still in danger of being arrested? and does he have any rights as far as his child is concerned? i would really appreciate an answer, the poor guy is truly worried. thank you so much!
