I am not married to the man i am with. But he would like to adopt my son (5 months old). I do not know who the father is.. No farther is list on his birth certificate. Can he still adopt him?

You need an attorney. And to be married if you want to successfully complete a step-parent adoption.

At the very least you need to serve all possible fathers and that's best done with an attorney.

Why would you consider committing your child to a man that you, yourself, are unwilling to commit to?
