What is the name of your state? CA
My husband is applying for SSI benifits for his 12 year old daughter who lives with us. He works full time, I am a full time student I do not currently work, however I recieve a "bonus" check every month from my family (father's) business for administrative tasks I do on the side. My "bonus" check is used to support me -(gas, lunch etc.) and my schooling. None of this money is used to support my household/family. Is social securty going to consider it as income when figuring my step-daughters eligibilty? My husband with his income, under the one parent limit qualifies in California; however with my income under the 2 parent rule exceeds the limit. I don't think I am financially obligated to support his child though, so can they count my income?
