What is the name of your state?Kentucky.

All my insurance company wants to do is question me and my friends on my auto theft. I have given a recorded statement and released all the written info the insurance company has asked for, and so have my friends that I was with the day of the theft. But now they are wanting a statement under Oath? What does this mean? Are they trying to accuse me of this? What should I do? Do I need an attorney?

This sounds typical for cases when there is a lack of evidence. You do have the right to have an attorney present, hire one if you feel the need.

Q. But now they are wanting a statement under Oath? What does this mean?

A. A statement where you are swearing to tell the truth. "I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help me God".

Q. Are they trying to accuse me of this?

A. They are simply running an investigation to find out the truth.

Q. What should I do?

A. Tell the truth.

Q. Do I need an attorney?

A. Why would you need an attorney if you have been truthful? You certainly have the right to get one, it's your choice you know the whole story.

What they are asking isn't that uncommon.

Thanks

Thanks for the replys, I have just never been through anything like this, and I just feel like my insurance company just aren't helping me, but knowing that it is common for these type of questions, helps, it is very stressful going throught this, I just bought this car 5 months ago and really liked it. To ad to this, my rental just got broken into this past Friday and stole my GF's purse, my luck needs to change!
