What is the name of your state? CA

If I'm trying to do discovery on a civil case, who do I serve?

The lawyer is representing the collection agency who is representing the plaintiff. (ie. Collection Agency as agents for X vs me)

I want documents and items from both the collection agency and the original creditor.

Is serving the lawyer good enough or do I serve the collection agency and the original creditor?

Thanks in advance for your response

I know in family law I had to serve both my ex and his attorney. I would imagine it would be the same in your case. And just to be on the safe side, serve everyone.
