Massachusetts
Hello!
Here is my story.
My parents who a few years back operated a Chinese restaurant. Later on, the building behind attached to our restaurant caught on fire thus shutting down our restaurant. We had a 13 year lease. ( It was only in our 4th year). So, After repeated attempts to re open the restaurant, My dad who tried to get the City to examine the gas line so we could re open. The inspector told us that the landlord had to do all this work in order for us to re open. The landlord declined and said we have to do it etc. My parents decided to sue him and as of right now, he has been switching through different lawyers in order to skip court dates. Is there anything my parent's can do to get compensated?
