i have to file an answer letter within 20 days for a summons on credit card over due , was out of work allmost a year.starting today....$50 ...after i file this letter, how soon will it be before a hearing..can i get time to talk to lawyer, want to talk to bankruptcy lawyer...but need a couple months for the money to pay him?

also, i was out of work for allmost a year, will i have to pay all my credit cards , the total amount..its now $25000 on $13 an hour job.....i had belonged to a debt management program...but since i lost my job a year ago, was not able to continue it.

Nobody can tell you how long before a hearing is scheduled. It depends on your states Rules of Civil Procedure and the case load in the local courts.
Not sure what you mean by, will you have too pay your credit cards.
Credit cards are unsecured debt and will be discharged in your bk.
