What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

Hi there, I have a court order for my son to have supervised visitation with his father until our upcoming custody trial. His father hasn't showed up to the last two visits and I'm wondering perhaps if I am going on the wrong dates?

My order reads as of Sunday 8/9/09 child is to have supervised visits w/father at the court nursery every other sunday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm until upcoming court hearing. My question is about holidays, my court order says nothing about what to do when the court nursery is closed for holidays? I asked the staff at the nursery and they said they had no idea. Our nursery was closed for Labor Day 9/6, so I assumed that that visit was just skipped?

Please advise! I don't want to be in contempt of my order.

Thank you!!:D

Did you offer a makeup visit at the nursery?

Nope! He didn't ask, so I didn't offer.

Okay. I understand how you are playing it then. Your JOB as CP is to FACILITATE a relationship between the child and dad. But no problem. Have you called the visitation schedule to see if dad is showing up on other days?

Father got himself into this mess, if he wants to see him he can make the effort. I certainly don't mind making up a day for missed holidays, but I'm not going to be the one to initiate it... if he want's to see him, he can ask.

I did ask all of the staff at the court nursery, no one was able to give me any info, they just urged me to follow the court order. Also, they didn't have access to any info on if he was showing up any other days. I also called the court nursery during the weekday normal office hours, they were not able to give me any info either, just told me to follow my order... I will try them again...

Thank you

This attitude will NOT endear you to the court. As CP, it's your job to go that extra bit.

Here's a novel idea - call DAD and ask him if he's been going on the alternate weekends.

I understand this, it is hard to go the extra mile for someone that abused your young child (hence the supervised visits)... it is something I will have to deal with and work on. I will suck it up and be the better person, thanks.

Thanks!:rolleyes:Father has not provided me with any contact info (he does have mine), I do however have his address... should I send him something in writing? We have upcoming criminal & custody cases, lawyer advised no contact... is it OK to contact in this situation?

I'm not here to bicker or be criticized, just wondering if I am technically going on the right dates or not? Much appreciated.

Given that you have an attorney, that really is who I'd ask...

I finally did get a hold of him, said I was right about the dates... but when I had called the nursery earlier, the staff lady said that they had it in their system that the father showed up but that my son and I did not... she is double checking paperwork (was 100% there, we waited until the staff dismissed us because he didn't show).

One thing after another.. thanks anyways.:(
