What is the name of your state? N/A?

Is it possible in a case where the NCP lives in a different state, than the CP, can custody be handled by the state the CP lives in, and child suport by the state the NCP lives in? (cp's state sets the custody and visitation, NCP state sets child support useing thier guidelines)

I think I have read of cases like that on here, but I cannot find exactly what I am looking for, as to how that would have come about, and why.

I know that it does happen... I would assume that it's sometimes due to a separation that handled CS and then a relocation and the divorce was filed in the new state.

I have seen it happen that way quite a bit. As to why?...I have never felt like I had a definitive handle on jurisdiction for child support purposes. Many times I have heard that jurisdiction for CS follows the ncp, rather than the child. However, I have never seen anything official that states that.

thanks guys. I am assuming maybe a consult with an attorney in the ncp home state may be worthwhile...
