What is the name of your state? MD

Thank you to everyone who assisted me in being a better advocate for my daughter. We went to court last week and her father who was ordered to come in with proof of income, showed up with an unfiled tax document. It showed that he grossed $101,000, but after deductions only netted $15,000. He couldn't explain what several of the deductions were for and told the court, my wife handles all our finances. They saw right through that and based his income on the lowest potential income, $40,000 which was fine with me. At least they didn't base it on the $15,000. I wound up having an increase of $43.00 a week even with the lower amount of income because the master took ALL my daughter's medical expenses into consideration. NCP asked me if my daughter was receiving SSI and when I told him I had applied but was turned down because of income, he accused me of lying, wound up being told to calm down or face contempt charges and walked out before the hearing was over. Anyway, bottom line is my daughter has an order for support that is better aligned to her expenses. Whether we see a dime is still up in the air, but I'm hopeful. Thank you to all who advised us...

I'm so glad you came back and told your outcome! Thank you. :)

I'm also very happy to read that you were successful in obtaining more funds for your daughter. Keep up the good work, and I wish you blessings and goodness. :) :)

Actually recieved child support

Just wanted to update everyone, NCP went to jail in November for non-support. :(

Told CSEA he didn't have the purge amount and they couldn't do anything about it...He was wrong.

Sat in work release for a couple of weeks and miraculously came up with over $10,000 for me and other CP of eldest daughter.

Happy Christmas all the way around! My million dollar baby gets presents, older 1/2 sister gets to visit from other state, and NCP gets to be home with his new family. Everyone's happy. :)

Shame it took all this to get here!
