This takes place in New York
A final decree was granted in the closing of my mothers estate and I was to receive a specified amount of money out of it.
Ireceived a letter from the Trustee's attorney along with a release form stating I will not get money until I sign the release form.
The amount on the form is not the specified amount it's closer to the total amount of the estate I received over a period of 3 yrs. (trust).
Yet it implies I am receiving this amount this day.
Half of the paragraph below what states that I am fully satisfied with the Trustee and her distribution has a line thru the words that I waive the issue and will not take further proceeding pertaining to the estate of the deceased.
Can he hold my money? Do I have to sign?
I am not satisfied with the accounting because so much was not disclosed, but I accept the decree as I'm too broke and too exhausted to pursue it.
It's what was not disclosed that I will pursue and it pertains to the estate.
I don't trust these people,
Can he hold my money in what I call ransom until I sign the release?
Thank you.
