What is the name of your state? Ohio
I posted previously about being left in my uncle's will. A friend who is an attorney was able to obtain some information. My uncle & the executrix's lawyer told him that the house was deeded and put into the executrix's name and the remander of everything else was in a suvivorship were as if she died first everything went back to him and if he died everything went to her. My question than is why did I receive a copy of the will naming me as a beneficuary if I will never receive anything? Did the executric who is also named in the will and a niece pull a fast one some where along the line? Is it worth looking into further?
Thanks

Get an attorney to look into this for you.

According to the will, what were you supposed to receive?

If you were named as a beneficiary, the court requires by law that you be notified. Of course, the executrix has to figure out all of the estate affairs, and so if there was a large amount of debt or if the decedent didn't plan his business affairs properly, it is possible that the estate might not be in the financial position to be able to afford to give you what you were supposed to receive. Your attorney can advise you better after looking at all of the facts and the other financial information.
