My lawyer has informed me that the DA is going to offer me a bargain for a SWAP program in California for a mis Grand Theft. Obvisouly that means less than 60 days of time, but generally how many days am I looking at? I assume there will be a fine attached as well, is this true?

Does this mean that I have to plead guilty to the charge and have it go down on my permanent record? Is there a way to bargain through my lawyer for a probation sentence with SWAP that will allow this to disappear on my record once my period has been completed (prob. and swap)? Is there any chance of a DA accepting that offer or are they generally out for more blood than that on a first offense?
