What is the name of your state?
New York
A few years ago I had a rather bad accident. The case is being settled now and it looks like I will be receiving a settlement very soon. I haven't spoken to my attorney about the tax implications--are there any?
I have a feeling that my attorney will cut the check to me and the case will be killed. I just want to be sure that I pay (or arrange to pay) any taxes that I might owe.
Any advice / info would be appreciated.
Many thanks-
Bay
