Hello,
I have a bit of a dilemma. I joined a band about a year ago, I signed a two year management contract under a newly formed management company. It is run only by two women. Five months ago, I left the band to go and finish up my college degree. relationship with business went sour, in other words, they no longer returned phone calls.
Just recently, I got a call on my cell by one of the ladies, asking for my address to send off a 1099 tax form. I'm wondering what liability I own due to never filling out a w-4. They paid me un-periodically by check, never once withdrawing taxes. Never once handing me an income report. Now I'm wondering what to do. Any help would be wonderful.
