What is the name of your state?PA

I filed my income tax and will be getting back $500.00. My question is can I use the money to pay the filling fees for the BK and to pay to have my documents prepared, or could the trustee still want the money?

I am currently not working but have stumbled across a job that I will be going to on Monday. Im not sure yet what it will pay,(I know sounds crazy) will discuss this Monday, but probably not too much over min wage.

My boyfreind is currently footing all of the bills. When I was working we split all the bills. I guess my questions is if I'm going to file BK, how do I go about showing what I pay or how things are split up? Does this have any effect on my BK filling or is this an issuse? If the question makes any sense at all!!!! Or will the trustee say that since he was paying all the bills while I wasn't working why can't he continue that and then I would have money to pay the CC's?

Does the Boyfreinds Income have any effect on me or my filling?

All and any advise is welcomed and appreciated!

Using a tax refund to pay the expenses of a bk is a reasonable use.
The trustee may well want to know your boyfriends income to get a sense of the hh income but, a minimum wage job will not be a dealbreaker. You've many expenses in addition to things like rent. Use this calculator to get a handle on your expenses.

Lots of roomamtes help one another out temporarily but nobody expects something like that to become permanent. Once you're working, it's reasonable to expect you to start paying for some things.

Sorry to butt in but, Bigun, my lawyer told me that my boyfriend's income won't matter since we are not married. Will the trustee ask about that? My boyfriend makes about $65,000 per year after bonuses but he has his own bills hetakes care of like student loans, credit cards, etc. I live in Ohio...I never thought this would be an issue because we split our bills ad mortgage 50/50 and he doesn't/can't help me with anything due to his own bills. I mean he pays for dinners or a movie or something like that when we go out because I never have money but he has never paid my bills...not once!

I'd agree with your attorney. The trustee may or may not ask but since he's no legal obligation to pay for any of your expenses, it'll not matter.
