What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado

I was wondering if my decree states that my ex is able to claim my daughter on his taxes, if he is current on his child support. Does this mean no arrears, or just that he has paid monthly for the past 12 months?

Also, He has yet to reimburse me for medical bills that we are supposed to split 50/50, mainly a dental bill in which he refuses to pay his portion which is $209. This almost a year old. Would i be able to still file contempt charges? (i had insurance at the time and this is the cost of the unpaid insurance part).

Hi Pearl. how are you doing? i hope you are back on track with everything.

in regards to your question, i understood any additional accuring arrears since the last support hearing would cause him to lose the right to claim child for taxes. i don't believe the arrears he ended up starting with at the time of the order counts. was a payment plam for those arrears implemented?

what does your court order say about rembursement? did you notify him of the remaining half at the required time?

Thank you for replying, I forgot that most other posters would not respond to me any longer.

Our court order just stated that we split the cost of any non insured medical bills, & dental, nothing stating by when or anything.

Thank you about the taxes. He has been paying most every month except for one month when he was unemployed.

I am doing good. We went to court in Nov and i was ordered to have supervised parenting time with my daughter until our next hearing which is next week. My daughter got a GAL, and my ex and I have both had to meet with her to determine our daughter's best interest. We shall see what happens. I have stayed on my meds as well for the past 3 months, so that is good.
