In Missouri, can a settlement reached out of court be taxed?

I AM ALWAYS LIABLE

My response:

Not for the part of the settlement that represents "personal injury"; i.e., General and Special Damages. But, the portion that represents Lost Wages or Lost Earning Capacity, can be and will be taxed.
