my15 year old daughter had a baby in february and although she is young i do not believe in abortion so i stood behind her.the problem is that her boyfriend is over 18, he has been with her the whole time and plans on taking dare of her and the baby. in the past month i have been visited by the sherriffs department here in florida at least three times because they want to know who the father is so that they can arrest him. i feel that since the father is willing to support the baby that they should just leave this alone.they tell me that they can charge me with failure to protect because i wont give them this imformation and that dcf can put the baby into foster care if i dont. the baby was born 3 months premature and is still in the hospital but is due to come home soon, and i am afraid that she will not be able to because of this. my daghter and i are so distraught that we can barely make it through the day without breaking down and crying over this.i feel the decision on pressing charges should be mine since i am her mother. please tell me what i can do.my heart is breaking for my daughter.
