What is the name of your state? Massachusetts
history: 30 year marriage, kids all out of the house, she works
salary:32k, nets 350wk. I work: pay now 550wk Net. She was
granted 300wk support (temporary whatever that means). Award was originally based on mega overtime, which naturally ended right after the award.

Question: If I file for modification stating substantial decrease in income, as well as note from doctor stating I need to limit my work week hours to 50 a week, what are my chances of getting a reduction (I have a wimp for a lawyer who is afraid of the judge-she is certifiably crazy). Can a judges order be appealed to another judge or higher authority?

Also: My wife's atty says she will ask for fees if we go back to court (they want to drag this thing out until I'm totally broke, which will be about 6 months at this rate.) Is that likey to happen?

When can I expect to get this thing finalized in months?
Can I replace my wimpy atty with a more aggressive one?
