My tenants lost keys to 3 doors. I have called a locksmith to change the cylinder & make new keys. Is the tenant liable for the cost? Thank you.

No... You could have supplied them with copies , and charge only for the cost of making key copies .

Also, not to argue with The Blonde...
When we had to change locks when I was an Apt manager, it was in the lease there was a charge for the change.
It is written there is a charge for it?
If not you might want to send out a notice... legally of course.

Actually, not true, and in fact, failing to replace the locks when the keys were known to be lost could result in a nice lawsuit if someone finds the keys and cleans the place out.
