I was terminated today from a local government job. I was hired to be a driver for a field crew. I had to obtain a special license to drive within so many days of employment so I could be the driver of one of the crews. I never get sick while driving, ever. They had me start riding around with a couple of the other people. They always stuck me in the back seat. I would get motion sickness and vomit once a day while sitting in the back seat while riding. These episodes lasted only a couple of minutes per session, once a day. They did not interfere with productivity at all as we would just be driving around in the afternoons. These episodes did not effect my quality of work at all as it consisted of simply taking pictures of buildings. Everything else was done at an office on a computer and i was never sick there. I was pulled into the office this morning and told that they - - - - were going to cut to the chase, they were not sure that this was going to work out. They knew i was hired to drive and i wasn't, but they couldn't stand me getting sick every day. - - - - I was just wanting to know if this was legal on their part or if I have some sort of recourse here.
