i live in n.c. and i have complete custody of my two year old. the father is currrently in jail with no contact and no money sent. i want to make a will so that if something happens to me my son will go to some of my family. can he contest the will in court and is there a way to stop him from winning.

You can not 'will' a child to someone else like they are property. All you can do is document everything and ensure that the person you want to care for the child has this information available. They can then use it to petition for custody and present to the court that the father is not fit to have custody of the child.
