What is the name of your state?Virginia... I was terminated from employment on May 3 2005. The reason for this was stated in a letter to me. It said that I was being terminated for excessive absenteeism ans the loss of my security clearance. The excessive absenteeism was for a three day period where I did not report to work in February 2005. However, I have in my hands a letter dated March 23, 2005 from my employer that states that I am a "valued full-time permanent employee" and I have been working on various contracts... The termination letter also states that the company only employs persons with security clearances because its clients require cleared persons and would result in the company taking a financial impact were I retained. The only problem I have with this is that there was another employee who did not have a clerarance due to financial mismanagement and I learned through another employer that my security clearance was still active. Can I based on this information successfully pursue a wrongful termination suit?

Thanks

No. This does not come even close to meeting the definition of a wrongful termination.
