I am from Idaho and like everyone else who writes to you I have a problem. My problem is one that I am not sure what to do about. Let me try and explain....

I was involved with a guy who started out being Mr. Wonderful and turned out to be Mr. Nightmare. I found out after we broke up that he had done time in prison (for what he will not disclose), I also found out that he had been diagnosed as a bi-polar, manic depressive, alchoholic (who has violent tendencies). I saw signs of all his mental illnesses and that is why we broke up. I did not want to be a part of that cycle or that relationship. As of June 9th, 2001 he is no longer in the state of Idaho (due to a warrant out for his arrest here).

With that description, here is my dilemmma... I am pregnant with his child. I found out I was pregnant 3 months after we broke up. I am due on the 31st of August. We have talked periodically since he left, but we always end up arguing. I want him out of my life and to stay out of my unborn child's life. I believe he is mentally unstable (he is not taking medication for his illness) and have asked him about signing away his paternal rights and threats is all I have received. I know I will never see a dime of child support (he owes back child support on his son from his marriage to his now ex-wife) and I and my child will never receive the emotional or financial support we deserve.

He knows where I live and I would be greatly afraid for my life and the life of my child if I tried to keep him away from our child. Is there anything legally that I can do about his rights and having them terminated? Or anything about keeping him away?

I will take any suggestions that anyone has to offer... Thanks
