Hi,

You know the ad banners on websites?
Well there is a company that pay you for every click you get on there banners on your site...
There terms + agreement say that you cannot cheat or emulate clicks in any way or your account will be terminated. A friend of mine DOES "cheat" them.
He has now made a website about it, but it does not contain any of the programs, its just information about the group he made to make these "cheat" programs that emulate the clicks.
NOW THE BAD PART:
He has got an email from StandardInternet.com a company that also do this kind of thing but not the company that the cheats are made for. They are threating him with a lawsuit for having "illegal" information on his website, Unless he takes it down.

Heres a quote from the email he got:
"All the illegal activities discussed on your web forums and your IRC chat room have long been monitored and logged."

There "illegal" activities this email talks of are simply breaches of agreement.

Should my friend keep his site up (his site is very important to him) ? or should he take it down? Do this company have a case?

Please Help.

Thanks.

i know breaking there terms which the user agreed to is probably illegal but surely having a website simply *informing* people about this isnt illegal?
