Well, some of you might of heard of the financial crisis Texas schools are having. It seems my school district likes to keep their problem under raps. Well, a few weeks ago I stood up to the school. One of the things we are planning is a organized student protest. I have talked to a lawyer and she said that you can do this, however you must do it before school. If you do it after school is in session then they will catch us. The principal for a flyer I put up recently threatened me. They surrounded me and interrogated me for four hours. They wanted to know the teachers names that spoke out against the school and they wanted to know the students involved. One of the reason why we were threatened to be expel or sent to REACH for a year was because of the stuff we posted on a message board. I found out we can have a student protest between 7:00 am to 7:55 am and we can’t block the entrance. I don’t know what will happen, but who knows. Any thoughts on this?

No legal advice but as an old protester

here is what I would suggest.

First, you or the organizers should go to the city hall of your city and obtain a permit for assembly or whatever it's called in your city. Most organized protests fail to do this and are in themselves illegal assemblies.

Once you have this permit and if you, as you said, do not block any entrance or exit to the school grounds, stay on the sidewalk and do not harrasse others, traffic and are general courteous to others not a part of your organization, then you'll have no problems with the authorities.

The school authorities are another matter. They can do anything they wish, you'll just have to decide if it's going to be worth the fight. Of course, if you are suspended, expelled and/or other action is taken against you there are legal remedies. But, before you start this make sure you are in school BEFORE time for classes and follow ALL school regulations and laws.

This way you don't give the school authorities any chance to make you pay for your constitutional rights exercise.

*** Thoughts on what?? Your post tells us nothing other than you apparently posted something, somewhere, complaining about something and the school didn't like it.
How about your staying in school and getting an education. Sounds like you need it.

Maybe that is the problem....they know school suxxxx and they want a better education.

So to protest is the only way to get everyone on the same page!
